Four Ways to boost up the internet speed

Slow and sluggish internet signals can complicate your on-going online lifestyle. But but but, there are plenty of ways out there to increase and improve the internet speed by 20 percent. Lots of users, for instance, like to extend their WiFi range outside during warmer months of the year so that they can enjoy the outdoors with a cup of tea or coffee.

For others, networking speed can be infuriating inside their home. As a matter of fact, a particular room can be in a WiFi dead zone, or they can't stream their favorite movies or online TV shows without buffering.

If that sounds like you as well then try a combination of the suggestions mentioned in this post to improve the existing signal strength and expand the WiFi range to far corners of your house. In addition, we have also provided Netgear extender setup process in this post as well. Keep scrolling down.

Relocate the existing router or gateway

The reach of a typical WiFi network doesn't cover the entire house. Distance from the main router and your WiFi-enabled devices can affect the signal strength. The placement of a router affects the WiFi signal range directly.

What to do?
  1. Avoid physical obstructions and radio interference.
  2. Place your router in the middle of your house.
  3. Raise the height of your router as well. It will definitely improve the internet range.
  4. No not hide it. No matter how ugly your router is.
Update your router's firmware

The manufacturer of your WiFi router makes improvements to their software firmware updates in order to improve the performance and productivity of their products. So, to receive the uninterrupted WiFi signals from your main router, you must update the router firmware timely whenever the firmware update is available.

Consider adding a signal amplifier

A bidirectional booster amplifies the existing wireless signal in transmitting and receiving directions both.

What to do?

Add a WiFi signal amplifier or a signal booster to a router or an access point (AP).
