Linksys Velop is a mesh network. It provides seamless and reliable network. After the Linksys Velop setup is completed, always check for the firmware update and if there is a new update available then download the latest Firmware. Updating firmware increases the efficiency of network.
We can update the Linksys Velop by two ways:
· Using Linksys App
· Using Web Browser

Using Linksys App
· First step is to check the internet connection,
make sure your internet flow is good and strong. Now we will download the
Linksys firmware update from the Linksys Interface.
· If you do not have the Linksys app then
download the app or if you already have an app then make sure it is updated.
After downloading or updating the app, open the Linksys router login
interface and login to the app with the username and password, you set it while
setting up the Linksys Velop.
· Once you are logged in, Linksys app will
automatically detect your Linksys Velop system.
· On the main dashboard of the app you will see a
‘Menu’ icon, tap on it, then select ‘Network Administration’. Now, scroll down
and look for ‘Firmware Update’ section.
· If you prefer that your Velop system to update automatically, then
chose the ‘Auto-Update’ feature. This will ensure future firmware updates are
applied automatically when available.
If you want to keep the Velop firmware option manually, then tap on ‘check for
update’, and if there is a new version of firmware is available then tap
‘Update’. It will begin the firmware update process.
· The firmware update will take few minutes. In
between the update do not turn off the mesh and make sure there is no
interruption during the process. The app will notify once the update is
completed.
· After the firmware update, you can verify the version by going back to the ‘Network Administration’ section to
ensure the latest version is installed.
Using Web Browser
· Open a Web browser on a device which is
connected to Velop network, type myrouter.local in the
address bar.
· Now login interface has been appeared to you,
login there by entering your username and password.
· After login you will be directed to admin
interface, go to ‘Connectivity’, then under the basic tab look for ‘update’
section.
· There you can check for firmware update and if
it is available then download the latest version of firmware.
· After the firmware update, system will
automatically restart.

from the app, then you can download the firmware directly from the Linksys

Reset

If issue is still troubling
you, then you can consider factory reset.
·
To Reset locate the Reset
button on your router, if there is no Reset button then there will be a small
pinhole. Press that Reset button or insert a small pin in that hole and hold it
for 10 seconds.

Your router will be set to default
factory settings, you can configure the Linksys Velop again.
