Powers

Cassandra Nova, first appearing in Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's New X-Men #114 (July 2001), is a mummudrai, or parasitic lifeform which mirrors its host in appearance and behaviour, born to Charles Xavier despite not physically manifesting until birth, yet connected psychically with him and his telepathic abilities, taking some of his abilities for herself as she did hers. Cassandra manifested with him but didn't materialize until birth where she became her host's twin sister.

As a result, she developed an impressive array of powers, making her one of the most dangerous mutants ever known to exist. These included telepathy, psionic illusions, blasts of Psionic energy that duplicate DNA duplication/manipulation/astral projection/phasing abilities as well as her ability to jumpstart or evolve latent mutant genes within others.

Cassandra possesses both an advanced intellect and master strategist skills. A skilled warrior, Cassandra can pass effortlessly through physical objects using her ability to phase. Cassandra can hypnotize and control others such as mutants and humans alike through her telepathy powers; this ability makes battle more bearable for her as it allows her to hypnotize opponents while controlling battle strategies from her mind if need be; she can even use this trait to transfer herself physically into different host bodies as a form of escape or survival strategy; manipulate genetic codes of sentient beings from scratch and create their bodies from scratch.
